You don’t have a flavour I need, can you make this on request?

We aim to meet every customer’s requirement, should there be a flavour you need but isn’t on our site, we would be happy to discuss and make an alternative.

What size are your cakes, and how many portions will I get?

6″ = 8 portions
8″ = 16 portions
10″ = 24 portions
12″ = 40 portions
14″ = 50 portions
15″ = 60 portions
16″ = 70 portions
17″ = 80 portions
18″ = 90 portions

How long do the cakes stay fresh?

The celebration cakes which are decorated with cover paste and filled with buttercream will stay fresh for around 3 days, but any cake containing fresh fruit or fresh cream must be stored in the fridge and should be eaten by the next day.

Do you do cake samples?

Yes! If you are ordering a large/wedding cake, we can arrange cake tastings.

What is your most popular cake?

Our most popular cake is our Italian style, decotube and fruit decoration cake.

Are any of your cakes nut free or suitable for vegetarians, vegans or Muslims?

Any cake made with dairy products will not be suitable for vegans.
All our cakes are suitable for vegetarians other than the mousses which contain gelatine.
All our cakes are suitable for Muslims, please just request NO ALCOHOL.

Can you create Gluten free cakes?

Yes we can create Gluten free cakes on request, however designs may be limited.

Do your cakes contain nuts?

All our cakes are made in a nut environment and only contain nuts where specified. Please leave a note in the comment section of your order to specify if you require nuts or not.


Personalising Your Order

I need a cake and have something in mind, can you recreate this cake with descriptions only?

Yes we aim to work closely with customers to create cakes to their exact specifications. Should you have an idea of what you want but can’t quite find an image, we will work together to make sure we are on the same page and create exactly what is required.

How much notice is needed?

We require a minimum of 1 week’s notice for all bespoke cakes or figures, as these require a higher level of detail. For all other birthday & occasion cakes/cupcakes we request a minimum of 2 working days notice. Should you require a cake the same day we will be happy to do so, however designs may be limited, in these cases it is best to contact us directly 0207 619 7793

How much notice do you need for edible figures & bespoke cakes?

We require a minimum of 1 weeks’ notice for all bespoke cakes and edible figures. The more notice the better, as this allows us enough time to make and set the small details required for the cake.

I need a last minute bespoke cake, can you do this?

Can we have a plaque or writing on any cake?

Yes, when placing your order online, there is a box for personalisation.

Can you design our wedding cake?

We aim to make a customer’s cake dream a reality, as such we pay attention to all the little details and specific requests. We advise that customer’s provide images as guideline and starting point, from there we will work together to create the dream cake.



What are your delivery times?

We deliver to Central London and the City. Weekdays delivery between 9am – 4pm. Weekend delivery 7:00am – 12pm.

What are your delivery charges?

Our delivery charges are dependent on the postcode. A delivery charge will always be applied on a weekend. Weekday delivery charges are dependent on location, however are usually free throughout Central London and the City.

The site won’t allow me to book a delivery for my area, why is this?

In some cases, customers may try to get cakes delivered to destinations not based in Central London or the City. On these occasions it is best to contact us directly to ensure we can deliver to your area.

Where can I collect my cake from?

We are based at 20 Tileyard Road, N7 9AH and are easily accessible. You can contact the office directly should you need more information. 0207 619 7793 Mon – Fri 9:00am -4:00pm.

Who can I contact about my delivery/collection on the day?

If you are expecting a delivery or need to collect on a weekday, please contact the office via phone or email with any questions you may have 0207 619 7793 /

If you are expecting a delivery or are collecting on a weekend, please contact 07780 935 619 on Saturdays (collection & delivery) or 07841 376 508 (collection only) on Sundays.

Do you have a shop?

Not at the moment. We are currently part of a large catering company, as such all cakes are made fresh to order, we don’t freeze cake nor do we have cakes on display for hours. We Originally launched Patisserie Valerie on to the streets of London, and then opened Amato in Soho, but now are based in Kingscross.



How do I pay for my cake?

You can contact the office directly to make a card payment over the phone – 020 7619 7793. Alternatively, if you are ordering online, you can use our checkout service to make payments quickly and efficiently.
